Blackberry 10 HTML Link Tap/Focus Highlight (css fix)

So, I want to save some poor soul some time. If you ever have to do any HTML5 type app for Blackberry 10, you may notice that when you tap on links, you get a semi transparent, blue box with a blue border around it when you tap on links. It appears to be a :focus or :hover behavior, but as it turns out, it isn’t.

I tried going through tons of different stack overflow questions, blackberry documentation, and nothing worked.

It turns out, the fix is really easy.

a {-webkit-tap-highlight-color: transparent;}

Yep, that’s it.

PS: I only found this thanks to looking through the source of Ionic Framework. Check them out.
